A visitor agreement must be signed by all visitors upon entry to Greater Heights Climbing. Even if you do not plan on climbing.

Climbers under the age of 18 must have their Visitor Agreement signed by a legal guardian.

Facility Guidelines

Climbing has risks that can not be fully eliminated. Our facility guidelines help to mitigate those risks as much as possible.

Every visitor must have a valid Visitor Agreement and attend an orientation before using the facility.

All visitors must check in at the front desk upon arrival.

Climbing under the influence of intoxicating substances is strictly prohibited.

No smoking on the premises. This includes cigarettes, cigars, vapes, and e-cigarettes.

No running while in the facility.

Participants under the age of 14 must be actively supervised by an adult at all times.

Our gym is a family-friendly space. Please use respectful language and minimize profanity.

Headphones are not allowed while climbing or belaying. Please do not use your cell phone while actively climbing or belaying.

No climbing shoes in the bathroom.

No food or drink is allowed on the padded flooring.

The instruction of any safety procedure is not allowed except by Greater Heights staff, unless a certificate of insurance is provided naming Greater Heights as additionally insured.

Although we love our furry friends, animals are not allowed inside of the facility, other than trained service animals.

All gear, clothes and packs should be stored in a locker or cubby. Greater Heights is not responsible for any lost or stolen items. Lost items, if located by a staff member will be stored in our "lost and found" for 1 month. If an item is not claimed after a month, it will be donated to a non-profit of Greater Heights choosing.

Lockers are for single day use only. Please take all of your personal belongings with you when leaving Greater Heights, including your lock. If a lock is left on a locker overnight, Greater Heights resrves the right to remove the lock and place all ites stored within in our Lost and Found.

Always be aware of your surroundings when traversing the gym. Do not walk under climbers or climb over others.

Do not walk under anyone while they are bouldering. Be aware of your surroundings while walking around bouldering pads.

Topping out on bouldering walls is strictly prohibited.

Participants under the age of 14 must be actively supervised by an adult at all times.

An auto-belay orientation and proficiency test is required before using auto-belays.

All participants must have successfully passed a top-rope or lead test, proctored by an Greater Heights staff member, prior to belaying or lead climbing. IF a participant holds a certification but has not visited the gym in over a year and would like to top-rope or lead climb, a re-test is required.

Only UIAA approved climbing gear is allowed. All climbing gear must be used in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations.

Only approved assisted-braking belay devices are allowed to be used. Tubular belay devices are not allowed, no matter the belayer's experience.

Greater Heights reserves the right to refuse the use of any belay device.

Proper belay technique, as determined by Greater Heights, is required at all times. Belayers must assume a proper belay stance, upright, and attentive. Greater Heights reserves the right to revoke belay certifications at any time.

All climbers under the age of 14 need to be assisted by an supervising adult when clipping in and using the auto-belay.

Particpants under the age of 16 are not allowed in the fitness room.

Lifting weights can be dangerous. Please use caution when lifting and avoid the use of weights heavier than you can control.

All weights and equipment should remain inside of the fitness room.

Set the next person up for success. All weights, bars, and equipment should be returned to its proper place after use.

Do not walk near someone who is actively lifting. Give them the necessary amount of space to avoid accidents and injury.

Please be considerate of others. Only placing your items near the work station that you will be using. If the gym is busy, we humbly request that you utilize one station at a time.
